Abstract:
This work consists of a case study, which analyses the impact of Information Systems of Sintra Town Council on the daily work activities of its collaborators. The study is based on the research model created by Torkzadeh and Doll (1999) that assesses the impact of information technology on the daily work of the users. It was also considered the impact on dimensions used in the studies of Pereira (2003) and Lucht et al. (2007). It was investigated the impact of Information Systems in the following dimensions: productivity, collaborators satisfaction, management control, innovation, phases of the decision-making process, decision making, information quality and information security. Starting from the models mentioned above, it was constructed a questionnaire which was distributed to collaborators who work daily with the technologies in the Town Council. From there 810 answers were achieved and validated. The results indicate that the dimensions which have the highest impact on work processes on the individual level are productivity and information security
