Abstract:
The 3rd phase of an action research is presented in this article, which aimed at developing pedagogical strategies to facilitate the inclusion of contemporary classical music in the musical education of children, with confidence and in a practicable way by future primary teachers and early childhood educators (students from the School of Education and Social Sciences - Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre). Thus, several musical activities (listening, creation and construction) were implemented, in primary schools and kindergartens, according to the findings obtained in the 2nd stage of the investigation and based on the educational methods of Schafer (1998) and Paynter (1972).
Aiming to develop the hearing of the children and the musical creativity, the work proposals developed in this study phase - supervised and supported by the researcher – were based on projects whose primary objectives were grounded on experimentation / sound exploration, thinking about the sound and musical creation through sound sequences.
