Abstract:
The introduction of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in health related professions is becoming a regular an obvious practice, before the constant implications that these technologies produce in many areas of actual society. Considering nursing as a professional group, it is methodologically important to make a systematic review of the literature analyzing and reflecting about the implications of using ICT in their practice, taking into account their main areas, namely care, training, management and research, opting for their individual analysis, making also in this article a cooperative approach to the interconnection between them. The literature search preformed highlights the concepts of networks and social capital in order to better illustrate the potential of this joint which links may promote development not only for their own disciplines, but become capital, capable of not only individual ownership as also collective.
