Knowledge and innovation are increasingly the economy dynamic and competitive engines. The widespread recognition of this evidence reinforces the importance of the link between "knowing" and "doing", making clear the need to strengthen the conciliation of two worlds with purposes, distinct mentalities and languages: higher education institutions and enterprises.
Higher education institutions while spaces of knowledge production and transmission, and enterprises has spaces of knowledge conversion into economic and social value, are therefore condemned to dialogue and cooperate, or the result, for the first one, is to lose much of its social relevance and for the second one to simply survive and be overcome by others that learned to innovate, interpreting and responding to the markets demands.

To achieve this goal the adequacy between supply and demand for skills, different paths can and should be taken.
One of them – an institutional pathway - consists of better absorbency between the academic and business worlds, through our participation and of our teachers in business association’s administration of and the participation of the business community in government institutions, in executive bodies and/or advisory.
Cooperation with the society assumes an increase importance on the role of the IPG. In this context, the Egitania Sciencia journal may and must play a distinct role as a diffuser of information, studies, research and experiments.
After seven years of its publication, we reiterate our commitment to become this journal more active and intervene so we may express in their pages the goals outlined at the time of its release.
